MUMBAI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday revived the debate over intolerance by saying that start-ups and intolerance cannot co-exist.

“There is contradiction in saying that I want start-ups and I will be intolerant. Startups require the free movement of ideas. Intolerance doesn’t allow that,” Gandhi said during an interaction with students of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

His remarks came on the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his ambitious ‘Start-Up India’ project to boost start-up businesses.
