Delhi court set to hear complaint against Salman, SRK on Friday
A Delhi court will on Friday hear a criminal complaint against actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan for hurting religious sentiments by entering a temple wearing their shoes during a shoot for the TV show Big Boss 9.
Filed by advocate Gaurav Gulati, the complaint asks the court to direct city police to file an FIR against the two actors, the show’s producer, and a television channel that aired it. Gulati’s complaint says the accused are guilty of deliberately acting in a way that would outrage religious sentiments. The complaint maintains that the incident seemed to be a “well-planned malicious act to outrage Hindu feelings,” however adds that any kind of misdeed committed by them affected the masses. The case is fixed for hearing on January 22.
Seeking prosecution of the two actors, channel and the show’s director and producer, the complainant claimed he felt insulted about his religious belief.
Hindustan Times tried contacting both the actors. However, in spite of repeated calls and text messages, both remained unavailable for a comment.
