Allies at it again; Aaditya takes on BJP over open-air gym demolition
MUMBAI: In comments that could spark another clash between allies, an angry Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Raj Purohit and the BMC for asking actor Dino Morea to dismantle the open air gymnasium put up at the Marine Drive promenade.
His father and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has regularly taken potshots at the BJP, the Sena’s partner in both the state government and the BMC. Thackeray junior was pro- voked by the decision of a threemember committee consisting of the BMC chief, the heritage panel chief and the Mumbai police commissioner rejecting permission for the gym, that he had inaugurated with much fanfare amid controversy last July.
