2 minors among 5 girls rescued from Rabale bar
Navi Mumbai crime branch rescued five girls including two minors from a ladies bar in Rabale on Wednesday evening. They were allegedly forced to do illicit activities by their employers.
Acting on a tip off a police team raided Sanraj Bar around 7.30 pm and rescued to girls. They had been working there for the past six months. One manager and one waiter of the bar have also been arrested.
“After we learnt about their immoral activities we sent two of our officials to the bar as dummy customers. After getting confirmed reports we raided the bar. The girls were forced to use obscene gesture to attract the customers,” said one crime branch official.
“The rescued girls are from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. We are trying to find out if some agents are working to provide girls to such bars,” he said.
Navi Mumbai police commissioner Prabhat Ranjan had announced around two months ago that all illegal activities in ladies bars would be stopped. He also appealed to bar owners to run their business by following the guidelines.
