SEVEN IL­LE­GAL STRUC­TURES RAZED AT DON­A­GIRI

In an ef­fort to ex­pe­dite in­fras­truc­tural de­vel­op­ment works City and In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (Cidco) de­mol­ished seven il­le­gal con­struc­tions at Funde vil­lage in Don­a­giri on Wed­nes­day.

“Due to this en­croach­ment, the in­fras­truc­tural de­vel­op­ment works was held up in that area. As against seven no­tices is­sued to en­croach­ers, all struc­tures con­sist­ing of pucca con­struc­tion with pa­tra shed, chawls, com­mer­cial shops, car park­ing shed, buf­falo gotha, were de­mol­ished. The struc­tures were con­structed on Cidco land with­out hav­ing any land ti­tle and de­vel­op­ment per­mis­sion. Ac­cord­ingly, the mu­nic­i­pal cor­po­ra­tion on due process of law re­moved them,” said Mo­han Ni­nawe, se­nior pub­lic re­la­tions of­fi­cer of Cidco.

Due to this en­croach­ment, the in­fras­truc­tural de­vel­op­ment works was held up in that area. The struc­tures built on Cidco land did not have land ti­tle.
