Moun­taineer in­spires Cidco of­fi­cials with Everest feat

NAVI MUM­BAI: “Ev­ery­one has a po­ten­tial to achieve their de­sires and dreams,” said Atul Kar­wal, IPS of­fi­cer and moun­taineer, at Cidco Bha­van on Fri­day.

Cidco un­der the flag­ship pro­gramme ‘Chang­ing Minds’ had or­gan­ised its 3rd in­spi­ra­tional lecture with Kar­wal, who scaled Mount Everest in the In­dian Po­lice Mount Everest Ex­pe­di­tion 2008.

“We have un­lim­ited re­sources, we just don’t re­alise it. Al­ways re­mem­ber, pas­sion is the key to ac­com­plish our goals. Things will fall in place, if you re­ally want to achieve it,” said Kar­wal.

Other se­nior Cidco of­fi­cials like vice chair­man and man­ag­ing di­rec­tor San­jay Bha­tia, joint man­ag­ing di­rec­tor V Radha, joint man­ag­ing di­rec­tor RR Cha­van, and chief vig­i­lance of­fi­cer Pradnya Sar­avade, were also present at the pro­gramme.

Sar­avade said, “We be­lieve that if ev­ery­one im­bibes the val­ues and good works of the role mod­els or the suc­cess­ful per­sons we will start liv­ing a bet­ter life. In­deed this will help us to de­liver bet­ter ser­vices.”

At the lecture, Kar­wal en­thu­si­as­ti­cally shared his Mount Everest jour­ney and ex­pe­ri­ence.

To get the au­di­ence feel the Everest climb, he made a pic­to­rial pre­sen­ta­tion and played video of var­i­ous Everest lo­ca­tions.

He said, “Its pas­sion and ad­ver­sity which en­er­gizes the in­ner self to achieve the de­sires. One has to also fight against all odds to achieve the goals.”

In the end, the in­ter­ac­tive ques­tion and an­swer ses­sion en­light­ened the au­di­ence.
