COL­LE­GIANS GET EX­PERT TIPS ON COR­PO­RATE WORLD, JOBS

A per­son­al­ity en­hance­ment pro­gramme, Cam­pus to cor­po­rate and be­yond, was held ear­lier this week at Marathi Sahitya au­di­to­rium in Vashi.

The ob­jec­tive was to ex­pose col­lege stu­dents to the needs of the cor­po­rate world in the pri­vate sec­tor and the govern­ment sec­tor. Over 700 stu­dents from 11 col­leges of Navi Mum­bai par­tic­i­pated in the sem­i­nar.

Shishir Gorle, CEO In­nov, said, “The education sys­tem needs an ur­gent re­vamp to fa­cil­i­tate hu­man re­source for the pri­vate sec­tor.”

Kishore Patil, ex­ec­u­tive en­gi­neer PWD, gave tips on clear­ing the civic ser­vices ex­am­i­na­tion. He ex­plained the reser­va­tion pol­icy for the ben­e­fit of the stu­dents from the weaker sec­tion.

A com­mem­o­ra­tive book­let which had in­sights of the em­i­nent speak­ers and a cer­tifi­cate for all par­tic­i­pants was re­leased on the oc­ca­sion.

Seema Gupta, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Arya Hos­pi­tal Man­age­ment So­lu­tions, spoke about the grow­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties in the health sec­tor. She added that health­care is emerg­ing as the big­gest em­ployer in the coun­try.
