PEER PRESSURE, BROKEN HOMES

Hindustan Times ST (Mumbai) - HT Navi Mumbai Live - - NAVI MUMBAI -

According to Jayakar Ellis, founder and president, Heart Foundation, these days, children are confronted with peer pressure, broken homes and pressure to perform in exams

Domestic surroundings play a vital role in a child’s life

Such pressures sometimes push children towards drugs. Once they get addicted, children find it difficult to quit

The police plan to continue such programs and help children tackle their problems without giving in to drugs

“We need to educate children against drug addiction and make them realise how important it is for them to help their friends who are into such habits,” said Ellis

About 100 students participated in the programme
