Truck worth ` 10 lakh stolen from Kharghar
The Kharghar police have registered a case after some unidentified people stole a truck worth Rs 10 from sector 19 on early Thursday.
According to the police, the driver Tejendersingh Sandhu, 45, parked the truck outside Kadambari Cooperative Housing Society last week. It was there till Wednesday evening. However, on Thursday morning Sandhu realised that the truck was missing from that place. He later approached the police and registered an FIR.
The police have registered a case under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code. However, they have not been able to make any break through till now.
“Despite repeated requests, people park their vehicles on road. They do not even install any GPS system in their vehicles. If the owners themselves not bothered about the safety of their vehicles, police can do very little to protect them,” the officer said.
