WE ARE AGAINST TERRORISM
As part of the anti-terrorism week organised by Navi Mumbai police, a rally was organised in Nerul by the community in support of the campaign.
Around 5,000 people participated in the rally that began from Nerul police station and ended at DY Patil Auditorium.
“This was an excellent effort of the community to tell the world how strongly it feels on the issue. Everyone knows that terrorism has no religion and so it is necessary that every section of the society condemn it and make it clear that it will not be supported at any cost,” said police commissioner Prabhat Ranjan.
“It is the duty of every citizen, irrespective of his community, to inform the police of any suspicious activity. We intend to promote awareness on it,” said social worker Afsar Imam.
Schoolchildren take part in a rally at Nerul as a part of anti- terrorism week. Youth in Thane stage a play with a message to shun terrorism.
