Two bus stops in Kalamboli seem to have vanished into thin air recently.

Nobody, including the authorities, seem to have any clue about it. Upset passengers have demanded that the bus stops be restored immediately.

The bus stops are located opposite Matrachhaya Society and HDFC bank. The bus stops are of NMMT bus route 56 that runs from Kalamboli police headquarters to Mansarovar. Since there are no other bus stops close by, the passengers are having a tough time.

Mangesh Desai, a passenger, said: “We called Asudgaon bus depot, but they had no explanation. We were told that NMMT has a different department for bus stops.”

The senior citizen association of the node has collected signatures of around 100 senior citizens demanding the bus stops again. All India passenger association has initiated a signature campaign. The local unit of NCP too has written to NMMT claiming it is injustice to the local residents.

NMMT general manager Shirish Aradwad said, “I will look into details and then take requisite action if required.”
