The vested interests do not want even the opposition leader to speak. What is the use of sitting in the house if we are not allowed to have a say in the proceedings? Let them conduct the business alone.

VIJAY CHOUGULE, opposition leader in NMMC

The NCP denied the allegations with house leader JD Sutar saying, “The opposition members do not pay attention when the resolutions are introduced and make a noise when the time is over. Their allegations are baseless and politically motivated.”

Sonawane said, “I have always given equal opportunity to all to speak. I have to follow the norms to run the house.”

The Ambedkar memorial at Airoli is under construction.
