What do Mumbai’s women want? Our survey finds out
What do women want. It’s one of those ultimate unanswerable questions.
Ahead of Women’s Day, HT and Ipsos conducted a survey across eight cities in India and the results are revealing.
In Mumbai, women don’t want to leave their parents’ homes (a legacy of the sky-high real-estate rates). They are also adamant that they won’t settle for a partner who earns less. As PR professional Aakruti Mehta, 25, puts it, “It’s really expensive to live well. I work hard and I want someone who works hard too.”
