CROCIN, D-COLD SET TO GO OFF SHELVES TOO

NEW DELHI: Com­mon flu medicines such as Crocin Cold & Flu and chil­dren’s drugs such as TedyKoff and T-98 will be off drug­store shelves fol­low­ing a ban on 350 com­bi­na­tion drugs be­ing sold with­out govern­ment ap­proval.

The ban will also im­pact more than 2,700 medicine brands, in­clud­ing flu medicine D-Cold To­tal, nasal drops Na­siv­ion, cough syrup Cheri­cof and anal­gesic Nimulid. The health min­istry banned the sale and man­u­fac­ture of a range of anti-di­a­betic drugs, res­pi­ra­tory drugs, anal­gesics and anti-in­fec­tive and gas­tro-in­testi­nal drugs on Satur­day.
