He added, “Following a tip-off, a trap was laid. We first managed to get Rathod and after questioning him, arrested Vavle. Vavle had been released from jail just 12 days ago.”

Ranjan said, “They were expert at the crime. They would

target their victims at crowded places and when passengers boarded buses or trains. They would then steal their phones.”

Apart from the mobile phones,

the police also recovered two pieces of jewellery from the accused. Ranjan said, “The mobile phones recovered include high-end smart phones.”
