SUNDAY IS WORLD SPARROW DAY
“The change in climatic conditions has had an adverse effect on the birds and the animals. The habitat of the birds has been destroyed by the rising heat and the breaking down of mountains and cutting down of trees,” said Jaywant Thakur, president of Friends of Nature.
The NGO has made water bowls from recycled plastic items that were damaged or thrown away. Concrete bowls will also be distributed among residents on Sunday, which will be observed as World Sparrow Day. It will spread awareness on how to save the sparrows.
