90 vacancies in Navi Mumbai police, 14K apply
A total of 14,033 applications have been received for just 90 vacancies that have to be filled in Navi Mumbai police commissionerate.
Candidates who have applied for police jobs will undergo document verification and physical tests on March 29. Thereafter, further process of police recruitment will begin.
Under the police recruitment currently on in the state, Navi Mumbai police too is conducting recruitment process to fill up its vacant posts.
Deputy commissioner of police (headquarters) Prashant Khaire said, “There are 78 posts on offer in the police commissionerate and 12 for the jail. A total of 14,033 candidates have applied for the vacancies.”
Earlier, those interested were given time upto February 20 to apply.
Till that time, Navi Mumbai police commissionerate had received 12,200 online applications. However, since a number of hopefuls couldn’t apply in the designated time, the deadline was extended by a further 15 days, till March 4.
The extended time led to 1,833 more applications.
Khaire said, “We will verify the documents of the applicants and also conduct their physical test on March 29 at the police headquarters ground in Kalamboli.”
