EXPECTANT MOTHERS TO WAIT FOR H1N1 VACCINES
NAVI MUMBAI: Expectant mothers willing to opt for H1N1 vaccines have to wait for a while.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation ( NMMC) health department, which started providing H1N1 vaccines to expectant mothers who are at high risk of being infected with swine flu, are awaiting the next lot of vaccines.
Officials said in the first lot given last year in August to the NMMC, 100 vaccines were provided. They have all been exhausted.
“We have again forwarded our request for 200 more vaccines. Once we get them, we will again start urging more expecting mothers to opt for it,” said Dr Ramesh Nikam, in-charge of the swine flu department of NMMC.
