Illegal structures at Turbhe, Kopri razed
Taking stringent action against the illegal constructions in the Navi Mumbai, City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) conducted one demolition drive at Turbhe and Kopri of Vashi on Wednesday. Around 300 temporary hutments were removed during the drive which led to clearing of about 8 to 10 acres of land in the area. “Apart from senior officers from Cidco, around 40 security officials were also present at the spot. Additionally, 30 police personnel from APMC police station were part of the drive. No untoward incident took place during the drive,” said Mohan Ninawe, senior public relations officer of Cidco. “Because of illegal construction the development projects have been hold up in several areas. We demolishing such constructions strategically in different nodes,” Ninawe said.
