SEPTEM­BER 21, 2015: Seven peo­ple died while three oth­ers were in­jured af­ter the SUV they were trav­el­ling in rammed into a dumper on Mum­bai-Pune Ex­press­way near Kha­la­pur on Mon­day

MAY 5, 2015: Two per­sons died while five oth­ers were in­jured af­ter the car they were trav­el­ling in went off Mum­bai-Pune Ex­press­way and caught fire. The ac­ci­dent took place near Rees vil­lage in Kha­la­pur.

Around 14 kms of the ex­press­way comes un­der Navi Mum­bai po­lice ju­ris­dic­tion.
