Deputy regional transport officer transferred to Satara
After a series of bureaucratic reshuffles in the CIDCO and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the deputy regional transport officer (RTO) too has changed.
Following an order, Navi Mumbai deputy RTO Sanjay Dhaigude has been transferred to Satara. Thane RTO official Sanjay Dole took charge on Wednesday. An emotional Dhaigude was given a tearful farewell by his staff the same evening. City autorickshaw union representatives and eminent citizens were also present during the send-off programme.
“The residents of the city and auto union office-bearers helped me in my tenure. I received cooperation from all. The work experience here was very different,” Dhaigude said, adding, “I would love to come back and work in the city if given an opportunity in the future.”
“While we achieved a lot in our jurisdiction, I regret that I was not able to take up the construction work on the plot allotted for RTO in Nerul. The issue of auctioning
vehicles seized by the RTO too is pending and it would have earned RTO huge revenue,” he said.
On taking charge Dole said, “The RTO office here is operating from rented premises and both the staff and the residents do face problems. I will look into the documents on the plot allotted to the RTO in Nerul and take it up in right earnest.
