TANSA PIPE­LINE RE­PAIRED AF­TER 30 HOURS

The Tansa pipe­line which was leak­ing from over 20 days was re­paired by the Bri­han­mum­bai Mu­nic­i­pal Cor­po­ra­tion (BMC) af­ter 30 hours of work. The BMC had im­posed a shut­down in Mum­bai and Thane for the repair. The wa­ter sup­ply re­sumed on Wed­nes­day. The Tansa pipe­line pass­ing through Gand­hi­na­gar in Thane had burst more than 20 days ago. “The burst led to a wastage of over six to seven mil­lion litres of wa­ter ev­ery day.
