BIKER, PILLION IN­JURED AF­TER CAR HITS THEM

Two men on two-wheeler were in­jured af­ter they were hit by a four-wheeler car at Teen Hath Naka on Friday.

Mo­hammed Mus­taq Khan, 25, and his friend M Shaikh, 24, both res­i­dents of Mum­bai who work in pri­vate firm, were go­ing to Nashik. Around 8pm, a car tried to over­take them and hit the mo­tor­cy­cle at Teen Hath Naka.

Sid­desh San­jiv Dedhkhale, 29, a res­i­dent of Mum­bai, was driv­ing the car and was head­ing in the same di­rec­tion as the bike. He was ar­rested af­ter the ac­ci­dent. A po­lice of­fi­cer from Nau­pada po­lice sta­tion said, “Dedhkhale was try­ing to over­take the bike but lost con­trol and crashed into the bike.”

“Ini­tially, we took the in­jured to Thane civil hos­pi­tal. Be­cause of their se­ri­ous in­juries, they were shifted to a hos­pi­tal in Mum­bai,” he said.

“The car driver was not drunk,” said the po­lice.
