30-year-old man arrested for raping minor girl in Dombivli day-care centre
DOMBIVLI: An 11-year-old girl had been repeatedly raped at a daycare centre in Dombivli by the caretaker’s brother.
The accused, Dipak Herole, 30, was arrested on Thursday. Herole works in a mall at Thane and used to visit his sister’s daycare centre. He had been committing the crime since March 2015.
The girl, a Class 3 student, was scared as Herole had threatened her and so did not tell anyone about it. A police officer from Manpada police station said, “As soon as the girl lodged the complaint, we arrested him. Initially, he denied committing the crime but later confessed to his crime. We have sent both the accused and the victim for medical test.”
The police said the accused’s sister used to look after the chilshe also used to cook for them.
The accused used to go there on the pretext of meeting his sister. After months of being molested and raped, the girl narrated her ordeal to one of her family members who lodged a complaint.
“We have booked the accused under section 376 (punishment for rape), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code and several sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences
