CBD BELAPUR: Municipal commissioner Tukaram Munde who laid stress on the disciplined and efficient functioning of the various civic departments has taken up initiatives to provide quick and easy services to residents.

He has now initiated a WhatsApp number, 8424013099, to register complaints by residents with respect to electrical problems.

“The usage of social media and especially WhatsApp has grown by leaps and bounds amongst the residents. To make it easier for the residents to complain or give suggestions on electric-related issues, on the commissioner’s instructions we have started the WhatsApp service for the residents,” Said NMMC deputy municipal commissioner Jagannath Sinnarkar.

He added, “Residents can send messages, photographs or video clips and register their complaints or suggestions on the Whatsapp number. Immediate action will be taken on the complaint received.”

“The residents will be informed of the action taken through WhatsApp,” he said.
