CBD BELAPUR: In yet another administrative action taken by municipal commissioner Tukaram Munde, additional municipal commissioner Dr Sanjay Pattiwar has been now made medical officer of health (MOH), which was his earlier designation.

The present medical officer of health, Dr. Deepak Paropkari, has now been made his deputy.

According to a civic official, “The additional municipal commissioner’s post has not yet been sanctioned by the state government. Pattiwar had however been occupying the post for years.”

He added, “The commissioner has ordered that he will be reinstated as additional municipal commissioner once the confirmation comes from the government. Until then, he will remain as MOH.”

Pattiwar has been embroiled in several controversies in the past chiefly for the agreement with Hiranandani hospital and the case of a stock of medicines post their expiry date kept at NMMC hospital. Pattiwar has denied any wrongdoing in the allegations made against him.
