Air­port PAP to get 18 months rent dur­ing re­hab pe­riod

NAVI MUMBAI: As the devel­op­ment work of the Navi Mumbai In­ter­na­tional Air­port project is set to com­mence soon, the City and In­dus­trial Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (Cidco) has de­cided to pro­vide house rent to the project af­fected peo­ple (PAP) be­fore they get plots.

Cidco took the de­ci­sion after a meet­ing with chief min­is­ter Deven­dra Fad­navis. The pe­riod to be con­sid­ered for the house rent is from July this year to De­cem­ber 2017, said Mo­han Ni­nawe, se­nior pub­lic re­la­tion of­fi­cer, Cidco.

“The house-own­ers who are will­ing to ac­cept this rent pack­age have to de­mol­ish their struc­ture and give pos­ses­sion of land to Cidco. The com­pen­sa­tion of Rs12 per sqft per month will be given based on the area con­sid­ered to de­cide his/her plot al­lot­ment el­i­gi­bil­ity,” he added.

The house-own­ers who are will­ing to ac­cept this rent pack­age in ad­vance from CIDCO have been asked to con­tact the of­fice of of­fi­cer on spe­cial duty (Land), ground floor, Cidco, from June 16.
