KALYAN DUMPYARD FIRE CONTINUES TO RAGE
LOCALS BACK HOME
A day after a major fire broke out at the Adharwadi dumping ground in Kalyan, firemen were still trying to douse the smoke. Residents, who had to vacate their homes on Tuesday as a precautionary measure, returned on Wednesday. The KDMC assured work on closing the dumpyard will begin within 15 days. “We have an agency appointed,” said E Ravindran, KDMC commissioner.
