192-hour bhajan mahotsav at Panvel eyes record
NAVI MUMBAI: The residents of Panvel have an option of spending some quality time by listening to bhajans performed by artists from different parts of the state for next five days.
A 192-hour bhajan mahotsav started on Thursday and it will continue till June 10. There will be no break. Ramseth Thakur Samajik Vikas Mandal has organised the event in the auditorium with the same name.
A total of 276 bhajan groups from Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts are performing at the eight-day programme. “No such programme was organized in Panvel earlier,” said a member of the organising committee.
Representatives of Limca and Guinness book of world records are present at the event which is likely to enter the record books, the organisers claimed.
