14-year-old among four who ended life in one day
THANE: Four people committed suicide in Thane in 24 hours.
In all the four suicide cases, police stations have lodge an accidental death report and further investigation is on.
In the first case, a Nashik resident who had come to Thane for work committed suicide on Wednesday morning at Natwar Hotel in Wagle Estate.
He hanged himself with a nylon rope. The deceased was identified as Sunil Chandsare,48. He used to work in a private firm.
Chandsare said in a suicide note that he was ending his life because of family dispute and personal problems. The Wagle estate police station have registered the case.
In second case, a 14-yearold boy, Mayur Jandadiya, hanged himself in his house at Kasarwadavli. It was his first day at school. He went out to play and then returned home and committed suicide. The Kasarwadavli police station have registered the case and that no suicide note has been found. The parents will go to school and check if he had any kind of arguments or fight with his friends.
A woman aged 45 years who was suffering from schizophrenia hanged herself by with dupatta at her home in Raghunath Nagar in Wagle Estate around 6pm. Sushma Ramchandra Shinde’s family came to know about it after they entered her room.
At 6.45pm, a 20-year-old woman jumped in front of train on platform no.2 at Thane station. The deceased was identified as Madhu Singh, 24, who had gone for an interview. She was taken to Thane civil hospital. She was a resident of Wagle Estate. All the four bodies were brought to Thane civil hospital for post mortem.
