Project-hit people protest NMMC action against under-construction structures
Turbhe residents and project-affected people leaders took out a rally to Turbhe ward office on Thursday to protest against the notices being issued and action being taken against PAP structures by NMMC.
The protesters have warned of violence if the action is not stopped.

BJP city president and group leader in NMMC, Ramchandra Gharat said, “Ninety per cent of the need-based constructions by PAP have been completed. The remaining 10% are under construction. All we are asking is that they be allowed to be constructed. It is fine if new constructions are not allowed.”
He said, “The PAP have made huge sacrifices for the development Project-affected people gather outside the ward office at Turbhe on Thursday.

Corporator Somnath Vaskar said, “The issue is not related just to Turbhe. The under-construction buildings were not given permission by NMMC despite repeated pleas. What is then the fault of the PAP? Let these permissions be given instead of notices being slapped.”
