Two jawans, two militants killed in J&K as Army foils infiltration bid
Two soldiers and two militants were killed in a gunfight in Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday, as the army said it foiled yet another infiltration bid along the Line of Control from Pakistan.
“Alert troops intercept terrorists attempting to infiltrate in the intervening night of 29-30 July. In an ensuing gunfight, two terrorists killed. Two soldiers attained martyrdom. One was soldier injured,’’ said an army spokesperson in Srinagar.
Two AK-47 rifles were recovered, he said.
The infiltration bid came days after the NIA arrested a suspected Pakistani national who entered India to attack security forces Army personnel take position at the site of the encounter in Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday.
