One per­son drowned in a nul­lah near Go­vandi, six suf­fered mi­nor in­juries in a slab col­lapse at Mankhurd and lakhs of Mum­bai­ites were in­con­ve­nienced as heavy rain dis­rupted life in the city on Fri­day. What’s worse; you may end up spend­ing your week­end at home with the IMD pre­dict­ing heavy to very heavy rain­fall over the next 48 hours.

While the is­land city re­ceived 81.71mm rain­fall be­tween 8am and 4pm on Fri­day, the eastern sub­urbs re­ceived 92.03mm and the western sub­urbs 79.44mm rain­fall, lead­ing to wa­ter­log­ging in at least 49 spots across the city.
