National award for NMMC city engineer
The MIDC is undertaking urgent repair and maintenance work at its Barvi water filtration plant at Jambhul.
Hence, there will be a 12 hour shutdown of water supply by it on Friday (August 12) from 8 am to 8 pm.
As a result of the shutdown, the NMMC areas of Nerul, Turbhe, Kopar Khairane, Ghansoli, Airoli and Digha, which receive water supply in gaothans and slums through direct connections and also nodal area of Airoli, will not receive any water supply during this period.
An NMMC official said, “The residents need to make a note that water supply will be restored after the 12-hour shutdown period but with low pressure.”
The water department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has appealed to the residents to use water judiciously during these hours and cooperate with NMMC.
