Woman’s body found with throat slit in Dombivli
The Manpada police have registered a case against unknown persons after they found the body of a woman with her throat slit, on Tuesday.
A villager had come across the body lying on the side of a road with blood stains on it, around 9am at Khoni village in Manpada. He alerted the villagers about it immediately and then called up the police.
When the police reached the spot, they found that the woman’s throat was slit but the body had no ID card or any other document that could have been used to identify her.
An officer from the Manpada police station said, “We got the body on Tuesday and sent it for post mortem. Later, when the reports were released, we lodged a case of murder against unknown persons.”
The officer said they are still trying to identify the deceased. “We have circulated her pictures to get information about her identity,” said the officer.
