Uran to get 24x7 power dur­ing Ganeshot­sav

Uran res­i­dents are all set to get respite from reg­u­lar power cuts this Ganeshot­sav.

MSEDCL of­fi­cials have as­sured the res­i­dents of un­in­ter­rupted power sup­ply to the re­gion dur­ing Ganeshot­sav.

Uran MLA Manohar Bhoir held a re­view meet­ing on Wed­nes­day of Uran Taluka Pan­chayat Sami­tis to re­solve the prob­lems that the res­i­dents face due to power is­sues.

The gram pan­chay­ats in­formed about the power prob­lems in their ar­eas.

The as­sur­ance from MSEDCL of­fi­cials came dur­ing this meet­ing.

The of­fi­cials also as­sured the res­i­dents that they will take steps in Septem­ber to re­solve the is­sues that cause reg­u­lar power prob­lems in Uran re­gion.

Bhoir said, “I called the meet­ing to take stock of what can be done to en­sure un­in­ter­rupted power sup­ply dur­ing the fes­tive sea­son. We also dis­cussed var­i­ous power prob­lems in gram pan­chayat and Uran mu­nic­i­pal coun­cil ar­eas.”

MSEDCL Pan­vel di­vi­sion ex­ec­u­tive en­gi­neer Dat­ta­trey Gosavi and as­si­tional en­gi­neer Pravin Sali too were present for the meet­ing.

Bhoir said, “It was brought to the no­tice of the MSEDCL of­fi­cials that the power com­pany has com­pleted over 95% of the project at sev­eral places, how­ever, the in­fra­struc­ture is yet to be com­mis­sioned.”

He said, “The of­fi­cials as­sured the res­i­dents that the pend­ing projects will be com­pleted at the ear­li­est. They also guar­an­teed that there will be no power fail­ures in the re­gion dur­ing Ganeshot­sav.”
