NOT SHYING AWAY FROM DIALOGUE WITH PAKISTAN: GOVT
NEW DELHI: India on Friday said it is not shying away from dialogue with Pakistan, but it was Islamabad who is afraid of giving consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav, a former naval officer arrested on charges in Pakistan.
India has long denied that he was a spy.
“India has never ever shied away from engagement with Pakistan,” ministry of extern a l a f f a i r s s p o ke s p e r s o n Vikas Swarup said, reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister’s foreign affairs advisor Sartaj Aziz’s remarks that India was shying away from the talks.
He said Pakistan instead is shying away from giving consular access to Jadhav.
