Ac­tivists feel the civic body should have put up a no­tice to in­form ci­ti­zens the sur­vey has been up­loaded. “Only a few peo­ple know the des­ig­na­tion sur­vey has been up­loaded, so the civic body won’t get many ob­jec­tions or sug­ges­tions,” said Ra­jku­mar Sharma, cit­i­zen ac­tivist.

In the past, the BMC had ex­tended the dead­line to re­ceive sug­ges­tions on the de­tailed project re­port on the coastal road.

“We keep re­ceiv­ing news about the nat­u­ral disasters from ev­ery cor­ner of the world. Such are the tragedies which have never been heard ear­lier or imag­ined,” he said in the radio show.

“We are now ex­pe­ri­enc­ing the im­pact of fast-chang­ing cli­mate. In our own coun­try, mas­sive rains re­cently hit Tamil Nadu and caused losses to it as well as other states. “Ma­mata B should learn from Chi­dambaram and say ban­ning Taslima’s TV drama se­ries is wrong. She shd lift the ban and let the TV tele­cast the se­ries,” the au­thor tweeted.

She was re­fer­ring to a 2013 ban on a tele­vi­sion se­ries on a Hindu fam­ily set­tled in Kolkata.
