Killer’s sis­ter alerted res­i­dents about in­ci­dent

THANE: Kasar­va­davli res­i­dents, who rushed to help Su­biya Bar­mal es­cape, gave chill­ing de­tails of how the event un­folded on Sun­day morn­ing.

Has­nain’s sis­ter, Su­biya, 22, alerted the neigh­bours af­ter she saw her brother killing her sis­ter. “Bachao…bhaiya ne sabko mar diya hai (Help …brother has killed all),” shouted Su­biya, af­ter lock­ing her­self in a bed­room. She was hit on her cheek by Has­nain but she man­aged to push him.

Al­tamesh Ir­fan Warekar, 22, their neigh­bour and rel­a­tive, rushed to the house.

“Around 3.30am, my mother asked me to check what had hap he said.

“When I came out, I saw Has­nain’s sis­ter Su­biya inside the room scream­ing for help. I woke up other neigh­bours and rel­a­tives. We tried to open the door but it was locked from inside. We broke the win­dow grille and pulled out Su­biya. She was wounded,” said Al­tamesh.

When Al­tamesh and the other res­i­dents looked inside the house, they were shocked. “When peeped from a win­dow, bod­ies were ly­ing on floor. Has­nain had hanged him­self,” said Al­tamesh.

The vil­lagers took Su­biya to Ti­tan Hospi­tal.

As news spread, vil­lagers and fran­tic rel­a­tives started to gather at the house. Thane po­lice com­mis­sioner Param­bir Singh too
