THIRD PHASE OF REVISED DRAFT DP TO BE OUT SOON
MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will soon release the third phase of the revised draft Development Plan (DP) 2034 which consists of the revised Development Control Regulations (DCR). The revised plan, which is expected to have reservation for women and the physicaly challenged, will be put out to receive public objections by March 10. The DCR is a set of building regulations governing development in the city.

FSI is the permissible built-up area to the plot area. A senior civic official from the DP department said, “We are reworking on the concepts based on citizen suggestions. We are also looking at reservation for women and disabled through this DCR.” BMC is currently releasing the revised plan in four different phases. While the first two phases consisted of designations and roads, the third is the DCR which will be followed by reservations in the fourth phase. The final DP is set to be released in May, 2016.
The revised plans have been put up on BMC’S website - www. mcgm.gov.in for citizens scruity. Based on citizen observations for the previous phase -- road survey, BMC will also be releasing the corrected version around the same time, civic officials confirmed. “We have completed the corrections for 12 wards and are expecting to finish work for the rest in
