NEW APP-BASED TAXIS

At a time when Uber, a technology service provider in the taxi industry, was spreading its wings outside America, a fleet taxi company in Mumbai launched a premium taxi service with tourist permit cabs. It started to rent out tourist taxis on a per-km basis. Later, companies such as Ola entered the business. Till 2014, the service was call-centre based. Currently, there are more than 12 taxi aggregators in the city.
