FAILURE IS MORE SPECIAL THAN SUCCESS, SAYS EMRAAN
Emraan Hashmi (below) has had a string of box-office flops lately, but he says that he values failure much more than success, because such films have helped him grow in his career. “There have been films that have been unsuccessful at the box office, but that doesn’t deter me. If I go back in time, I would still select those films. At times, you go wrong. That’s what film-making is about. You have to take a chance,” says Emraan.
The actor says he “holds his debacles closer to him” than his successful films. “They help me grow. I would never disown or shun them. At the same time, I will take full responsibility for those films.” Emraan feels that a low phase in one’s career is a testing time for any actor, and how one deals with it shows one’s strength. “An actor should be able to take the lows better than the highs,” he says.
