A leader gets felicitated for socio-economic development
Asociety is as empowered as its citizens, and when leaders choose to work towards nation-building, the work should begin from the grassroot level. Striving towards this cause, Rana Kapoor, MD and CEO, Yes Bank, was felicitated at the Giants International Award 2016.
Kapoor was honoured with the prestigious award in the field of banking and finance at the 44th anniversary programme of the organisation on September 17.
Kapoor received the award from Shri Prakash Javadekar, union minister for human resource development, government of India, Nana Chudasama, founder, Giants International, and Shaina NC, world chairperson, Giants International. The award was bestowed on Kapoor for his outstanding contribution to banking and finance for more than three-and-a-half decades as an entrepreneurial banker and an industry thought leader. The Giants Award stands for six principles of generosity, integrity, action, nobility, truthfulness and service. Speaking about this award, Kapoor said, “It is a great honour to receive this prestigious recognition from the Giants International. I am humbled to have been awarded at such a prestigious platform, which has recognised some of India’s most iconic leaders in the past. It is a highly motivating experience and I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate Yes Bank’s commitment towards working for India’s social and economic development agenda.”
