The team of Baad­shaho is in cel­e­bra­tory mode af­ter their film opened to great num­bers on the open­ing week­end. Star­ring Ajay Devgn, Em­raan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal, the film has per­formed very well in metros as well as small towns across mul­ti­plexes and older the­atres, say the mak­ers.

“It’s a myth that films fall into ei­ther “mass” or “class” au­di­ences, “sin­gle screens” or “mul­ti­plexes” be­cause Baad­shaho has bro­ken all these no­tions,” says a source. On Fri­day, the film earned

` 12.60 crore, on Saturday the box-of­fice col­lec­tions were

` 15.60 crore, and on Sun­day, it raked in ` 15.10 crore. Even af­ter the week­end, the film did a brisk busi­ness of ` 6.82 crore on Mon­day and ` 6.12 crore on Tues­day tak­ing the to­tal col­lec­tion to ` 56.24 crore.

Di­rec­tor Mi­lan Luthria says, “It’s a dif­fer­ent ex­pe­ri­ence that I’ve tried to give to the view­ers, and I’m glad it has been well ac­cepted. It’s dif­fi­cult to make films that reach out to a large va­ri­ety of peo­ple, and I think some­where we have achieved that.”

Pro­ducer Bhushan Ku­mar of T-Se­ries says, “It’s been a very fruit­ful jour­ney work­ing on this film. We have had an ex­ten­sive and elab­o­rate mar­ket­ing and mu­sic cam­paign, and the film has now given us very good open­ing re­sults. I’m sure the ap­pre­ci­a­tion will sus­tain.”

Baad­shaho, which has been pro­duced by Bhushan Ku­mar, Kr­is­han Ku­mar and Mi­lan Luthria re­leased on Septem­ber 1, 2017.
