Besides being a prolific actor, R Madhavan is also known for his motivational speeches on various occasions. The actor, who was recently in Washington, USA, to deliver a speech, left the audience spellbound at The Washington Chapter in Washington DC.

The actor who is riding high on the success of his last Tamil hit, Vikram Vedha, visited Washingtin DC recently to address a conference for girl education and women empowerment, organised by Pratham USA, a non-profit organization that supports the vision of enrolling every child in a school and to track their progress. Madhavan, who had been specially invited for the occasion, spoke on the conference’s theme – girl education and empowering rural India.

A source says, “With his eloquent speech and eclectic thoughts, Madhavan left an indelible mark on the crowd. His earnest vision for empowering rural India and emphasis on the importance of girl education immensely resonated with the people.”

Talking about his experience at Washington DC, USA, Madhavan says, “Pratham is doing an extraordinary job in making a huge difference in the lives of people, especially children in India. It was a privilege and honour for me to be a small part of that effort in Washington DC.”
