Women em­pow­er­ment will take cen­tre stage on the big screen in Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Khar­banda’s lat­est film Shaadi Mein Za­roor Aana, which draws in­spi­ra­tion from the Beti Bachao, Beti Pad­hao – Beti Pad­hao, Desh Bad­hao cam­paign.

Keep­ing in sync with its theme, the movie is di­rected by a woman, Rat­naa Sinha. The debu­tante film­maker has di­rected mu­sic videos be­sides pro­duc­ing fic­tion and non-fic­tion shows.

This is Rajkummar and Kriti’s first film to­gether, and is a small-town tale of love be­tween their char­ac­ters Sattu and Aarti. The old­school ro­mance is hard to miss in the trailer and songs of the fam­ily en­ter­tainer.

Ac­tors Govind Namdeo, Manoj Pahwa, Vipin Sharma, Alka Amin, KK Raina and Navni Pra­haar play in­ter­est­ing char­ac­ters. The mu­sic of the film is a hit among the masses. With the in­gre­di­ents for a suc­cess, the film prom­ises to be mov­ing and mem­o­rable.

The movie is pre­sented by Deepak Mukut and So­ham Rock­star En­ter­tain­ment, and pro­duced by Vinod Bachchan’s Soundrya Pro­duc­tion. Writ­ten by Ka­mal Pande with Zee Mu­sic Com­pany as its mu­sic part­ner, Shaadi Mein Za­roor Aana re­leases to­day.
