While several female actors in Bollywood have been speaking up against the difference in their pay as compared to their male counterparts, director Rajshree Ojha (above) says it’s not the same in case of directors.

“There isn’t much of a difference for directors because all depends on their creative eye and we all come in the same category,” says Ojha, adding: “A female director who is making a big budget film will be paid more as compared to a male director making a comparatively low budget film and therefore, there is no question of disparity in such circumstances.”

Recently, filmmaker Farah Khan also voiced the same opinion. Rajshree — who has directed films such as Aisha

(2010) and the recentlyreleased X: Past is Present — meanwhile feels that the established stars should promote good content.

“There are good stories out there but people want to make those same old stories and remake hit films. All stories might not end up filling accounts but at least have the courage to pick it up as a project. There are so many good writers with great stories to tell but our main actors are so scared of failure that they end up doing the same kind of roles in same type of movies to mint money,” says Ojha.
