This is why Hrithik Roshan is Mr Perfection
Over nearly two decades, Hrithik Roshan has played a variety of characters, in films spanning several genres, but 2017 is when he achieved perfection in his own eyes.
Hrithik’s performance as a visually impaired man in Kaabil has been rated by critics and fans as one of his top acts. He himself says, “Frankly, I’ll know that maybe two or three years down the line, when I watch the film again. There are good chances of it being the first film in my life that I’d be 100% satisfied with.”
The actor, who usually has one release a year — that’s how it has been since 2011 — admits that most of the times, when he watches any of his films two-three years after its release, he isn’t fully satisfied. “At that time, I could’ve thought the film was good, but later, I see the flaws and the mistakes I made,” he says. That makes Hrithik feel that he needs to “evolve more as an actor”.
He adds, “But I’m hopeful that Kaabil is going to score the maximum points when I watch it again in two-three years. So, in that way, it may turn out to be my most satisfying film.”
Recently, Hrithik also did a special photo shoot with a visually impaired photographer, Charles Neves Rao. “The word ‘handicap’ exists in my dictionary, but the connotation of that word is not a bad one,” says the actor. He believes that the connotation is an empowering one, and explains, “Very few people have such an opportunity, wherein you have an obvious and apparent shortcoming, but you can directly attack it and turn your life into the greatest story ever told.”
