REVERSE HEM

From fabric engineering to menswear classics — the first day of Amazon India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2018, saw lots of inspiration for the coming season. Underway at NSIC Grounds, the event is organised by Fashion Design Council of India, and it started on Wednesday with Rimzim Dadu’s textile meets technology showcase.

While actor Nargis Fakhri added the celeb factor, the real stars were 101-year-old track runner Mann Kaur, yoga guru Nanammal, 98, and bodypositive yoga instructor Dolly Singh, who walked for the Nida Mahmood-Milind Soman show. At JJ Valaya, who celebrated 25 years in the industry, occasionwear stood out. Here are our trend takeaways.

GLEAM GLAM

The New York-based designer collection included effortless separates and sportswear. Ripped denims, patched mesh pants, bling and embroidered tops dominated. Bollywood actor, Nargis Fakhri turned muse for Ross. Our pick? The dare-to-go-bling pants will light up any party.
