Projects on open defe­ca­tion and dig­i­tal di­vide bring home the En­ac­tus World Cup for SSCBS

As an able ba­ton car­rier of the Dig­i­tal In­dia and Swachh Bharat Ab­hiyan ini­tia­tives, Team En­ac­tus from the Sha­heed Sukhdev Col­lege of Busi­ness Stud­ies (SSCBS), Delhi Univer­sity, has won the En­ac­tus World Cup 2017, held in Lon­don re­cently. Be­fore this, it won the En­ac­tus Na­tional Cham­pi­onship, held in Mum­bai this year. En­ac­tus is a plat­form that up­holds the spirit of “com­pe­ti­tion, col­lab­o­ra­tion, and cel­e­bra­tion”. It shares “real progress in key ar­eas which align with the frame­work of the 17 United Na­tions Sus­tain­able De­vel­op­ment Goals”, and brings to­gether world busi­ness lead­ers, in­flu­encers, and stu­dent in­no­va­tors. Vasu Agar­wal, pres­i­dent, Team En­ac­tus SSCBS, says, “We were de­clared win­ners among the 24 top teams that com­peted from across [In­dia] and thus got a chance to com­pete and win in the World Cup. This was our sec­ond con­sec­u­tive win and the fourth since the team was formed in 2009. We were in sec­ond po­si­tion at the En­ac­tus World Cup 2016 in Toronto.”

He adds, “The ex­pe­ri­ence was over­whelm­ing. It was a win for our com­mu­ni­ties, our en­trepreneurs, our alumni, and se­niors who ini­ti­ated the flag­ship projects, Udaan and Raa­hat.” So, what are th­ese
